thor: ragnarok (2017)

rating: ★★★★½

probably one of my favorite comfort marvel movies. i don't know why but i enjoyed this when it came out and i still do. hela in my opinion is one of the coolest villains in the mcu. i also feel like she kind of had a right to be a villain. but not the right to take over all the realms. with her and odin's past, being his right hand for all those years, and to be basically be pushed aside after odin got what he wanted...she has a right to be upset. but not to get revenge on all of asgard and want to take over any realm she can. but i think that i really like this movie is because one, thor is my favorite avenger, and two, because he finally realizes the true extent of his power. thor has always depended on his hammer, every movie he wouldn't be without it. so with him finally harnessing that power instead of containing to just his hammer, was always one of my favorite parts of this movie and mcu in general. i mean him kicking ass to immigrant song by led zepplin is PEAK cinema right there. i also love the little siblings moments between loki and thor. they're not the most perfect siblings but i do enjoy their dynamic. the scenes with hulk and thor crack me up too. what a great movie with point break lol.

 absolutely one of my favorite disney princess movies! i wish there was more anastasia appreciation, i feel like not a lot of people really know this movie or love it as much as i do. rewatched this tonight because i just love the songs, especially "once upon a december". she's also one of my style icons, i mean that blue dress at the opera was to DIE for. dimitri is also PEAKKKK love interest. again one of my favorites for a reason.

literally one of my comfort movies. it's always gonna hit even though i watched it over 100 times already. she was who i wanted to be and still want to be to this day. everything about this movie is perfection. and yes, i am very biased.

captain america: civil war (2016)

again i ended up watching another mcu movie today. this time it was basically a whole movie of a couple friends fist fighting in a parking lot. there's also more sexual tension between tony and steve than i remember when i first watched it. very interesting indeed. but when steve said, "i'm sorry. tony. but he's my friend" and stark said "so was i" back, i forgot how sad that was. but you know, i'm glad mom (tony) and dad (steve) worked it out after this. the best part of this was tom holland there, hands down.

the avengers (2012)

my brother has been rewatching every mcu movie to prepare for avengers: doomsday in december and i just happened to sit down and rewatch the original avengers with him. i forgot how great this film was. lately, i felt kind of lost in the mcu because of everything with the multiverse and the introduction of so many new movies as of the last 5 years. so it was very refreshing to rewatch the original avengers and reflect on the beginning of this massive massive cinematic universe. it's crazy how quickly we went from them fighting loki for the tessaract to defending the earth against thanos, and now we're all preparing to see them band together once again against dr. doom. but this movie will forever be a great one. these were the avengers who had no idea what they were in for and just steadily finding their way as a team. i do have to say though, my favorite avenger has to be thor, hands down. i mean he is the god of thunder after all. but anyways, i can't wait to see what movie my brother will rewatch next!! ttyl angel girls!
